Chief Assistant District Attorney Marisela Jacaman
Chief Assistant District Attorney Marisela Salinas Jacaman graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas and went on to study law at the University of Texas at Austin. She is an experienced prosecutor, public defender and educator. Mrs. Jacaman oversees the Felony Unit of the District Attorney’s Office and serves as the office liaison with the Laredo Police Department.
Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Pete Garza
Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Pedro “Pete” Garza is a graduate of Texas Southern University’s School of Law and brings with him vast experience in criminal law. He served eight years as an Assistant District Attorney under District Attorney Joe Rubio and currently oversees the Misdemeanor and Domestic Violence Units. Mr. Garza has been appointed as the Chief Prosecutor for Zapata County and is the office liaison with the Webb County Sheriff’s Department.
